Grade - IV Qualification

Maximum Qualification: The maximum allowed educational qualification for Class-IV posts is HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent examination passed. Candidates having qualification higher than maximum qualification are not eligible to apply for these vacancy.
Grade III (Category I)
- Name of posts: Accountant, Cashier, Junior Assistant, LDA, Stenographer, etc.
- No of posts: 8,331 posts
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Certificate/ Diploma of minimum 6 months duration.
Grade III (Category II)
- Name of posts: Field Assistant, Fieldman, Foreman, Section Assistant, Soil Conservation Field Worker Junior, Agriculture Extension Officer, etc.
- No of posts: 3,690 posts
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent examinations. (Some specific posts need candidates to be class 12th passed from science stream.)
Grade III (Category III)
- Name of post: Driver
- No of posts: 1,120 posts
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination.
Age Limit: The Candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2022.
Age Relaxation: The category wise upper age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 2 years
- PwD: 10 years
Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must have register their name in any one of the employment exchanges of Assam.
Application Fee:
All the applicants have to pay a nominal fee as application fee. The fee can be paid online using various below mentioned methods. The category-wise application fee is as mentioned below.

How to Apply for Assam Direct Recruitment?
CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO APPLY IN PRESCRIBED FORM THROUGH ONLINE MODE ONLY. NO OTHER MODE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION IS ALLOWED.
- Instructions for filling up prescribed online form shall be available in website- www.sebaonline.org as well as in the official Assam Government website i.e. assam.gov.in from 11th of April 2022.
- The applications shall be received from 11th of April 2022 onwards upto 30th of May 2022. Candidates should fill up all the field in the online application which are marked mandatory. Candidates should be cautious while submitting the online application form.
- The Admit Cards for attending the examination will be available for download from the official website of the Commission. Date and time for the same shall be notified later.
Other Conditions:
- Those candidates who are already in Government service should produce NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the respective HoDs ( Heads of Departments) at the time of the Computer/ Skill test.
- There will be no preference for place of posting.
Selection Procedure:
The Selection Criteria and the mode of examination for the different categories of posts shall be communicated in due course of time.
The shortlisted candidates will have to bring all the original testimonials i.e. Age proof Certificate, Caste Certificate (in case of reserved category candidates), Educational Qualification Certificates, Computer Proficiency Certificate (as applicable), Income and Asset Certificate for Economically Weaker Section, Disability Certificate (in case of PwD candidates) and Declaration in Form-"A" under Rule 5(1) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019 as available in the website for verification at the time to be notified later on.
